Hello everyone,

After 6 years with the same cpu, mobo, ram, and psu, it is time for me to upgrade my system.

Currently I have
CPU: i7-3770
GPU: Gigabyte 1070 windforce OC 2-way sli
MoBo: Asus P8Z77-V deluxe
RAM: 16gb (4x4) corsair vengeance @ 1600mhz
PSU: XFX pro850w XXX edition
HDD: 1tb @ 7200 rpm
SSD: samsung 840 series 250gb
Case: Phanteks Eclipse P400S
network card: TP link ac1750

some extra details:
I have a Phanteks Enthoo Primo (which can fit an eatx) in storage that I can use. I also have a 128gb M.2 SSD thats just sitting on my desk, so M.2 support would be helpful.

basically taking any comments and more importantly suggestions on a rebuild. I have an $800-900 budget.

Solution
Personally I'd keep the PSU, it's a pretty good one. Then down to your preference really, i7 8700k/Z370/16GB RAM for gaming or Ryzen 7 2700x/X470/16GB RAM (3000Mhz minimum) for more all round use.

Thanks for the input, but I was wondering why you chose the 8700k over the 9700k?
