Your CPU and GPU are both still pretty good. Unless you want to change to a QX9775 or a GTX480 or something... Your specs ain't too bad. You wanna play crysis warhead on max or something?

What you face is, even if you upgrade to a Core 2 Quad, your FPS won't be that much higher alone... and if you just change to the highest video card you can get with the CPU you currently have, your FPS will go up, but you won't get the max either way.

If the current setup is not enough for your needs... might be time to look towards the i7-2600 and a total upgrade. :kaola:

u already hve a gud spec over there. u shld change ur ram 2 atleast ddr2 800MHz.
if u want 2 upgrade, wait for da new intel sandy bridge processors 2 cut prices.
but u dont need cpu or gpu upgrade ne tym soon. u may wait for 6 months or more

I agree with in_core. Even if you switch to the GTX470 or 480... you will not notice much difference from your current system. Wait for the sandybridge setup and upgrade all if you can... Because your framerate will only increase slightly with a new CPU or graphics card in your current setup.

Hell, my last system was an ASRock P43D1600Twins with Core 2 E7500 2.93GHz, 4GB DDR2 800, and NVidia 9800GTX 512MB and it could still play Bad Company 2, Modern Warefare 2, FarCry 2, Left 4 Dead and Batman just fine with mid to high settings... and what you got is a little better than that.

My new system is AMD Phenom II X4 965 BE 3.4GHz Quadcore, 8 GB DDR3 1333, and NVidia GTX465... And I can play all the same games on the ultra high setting... I am just waiting for the i7-2600 sandybridge systems now... so I can run SLI with 2 480's :kaola: hopefully!

With the low power of the new 2600... you get 4 cores, and hyperthreading with only 95W overhead... so your PSU is good enough even if you hold off until the sandybridge becomes widely available. You might be able to pick up a new board and run 2 GPUs anyways. Just hold off a bit.

SB is out now, you cna buy them most places... or do you mean you want to upgrade later when you can do the whole system (which is understandable)

when you do build your new system go with a 64 bit OS... it cna still run 32 bit programs btu why run a 32 bit os on a 64 bit chip

SB is out... but most places are still trying to unload all the 1156 and 1366 stuff right now... so no deals on the new stuff yet. I been price hunting around my self about this same issue.
