So I just played a game of battlefield 1 yesterday because i just go a new monitor with 144hz. The problem is thet my fps is not so good, the fps is bad when i play on ultra and low settings, there are some other games that doesn't rung good as well so i whant to know what the problem is. My specs are gtx 1060 6gb and ryzen 3 1300x, im not going to put all of the specs in because i don't think it's so importante. i just don't know if i chould buy a new cpu or new gpu to get better performance and better fps. I notice on the large maps that my fps drops to about 40-30 fps on ultra and 45-40 on low. I have spent a lot of mony on my PC 1532$ for be
exactly, so i just don't whant to PC to run bad

yeah i know it's really overprices my gpu cost around 437usd on a swedish store called netonnet. in swedish sek my PC was 14 133 swedish SEK

yeah, agree with sizzling. your CPU is a little weak for 144hz the GPU is weak too for that res. For 1080p your system is okay. but you still should be hitting around the 60fps mark for BF1. You will still experience stuttering though as the CPU will max out as sizzling said. You're just asking too much of your hardware at 144hz.

Okey, but do you think i should buy a better cpu first or a better gpu first?

For large multiplayer BF1, and probably the upcoming BF V, you need more than 4 cores/4 threads. So then you need a CPU upgrade first if this performance isn't acceptable to you.

Keep in mind that once you get your CPU situation resolved, then you will get a better idea of your GPU situation. The 1060 is positioned as a top notch 1080p 60hz card for AAA games like BF1. It may turn out to handle 144hz gaming well, especially if you tinker with the settings. But don't be surprised if it takes a 1070 to make you happy.

This is why I always stress pre-planning as much as possible. Back when you paired the 1300x with the 1060 you built a solid 1080p 60fps system. Now, you have a new monitor that is best paired with a system one level higher in capability. If, back then, you had thought 'some day I might get into high refresh rate gaming' might have chosen a Ryzen 5 in order to be prepared for that.

Okay thanks . i my go for a ryzen 5 or ryzen 7 upgrade

I agree with dontlistentome. A cpu upgrade for that res will serve you better for now. I've an R5 1600x and it's a beast for gaming and streaming. Of course an I5 8400/8600k/8700k will pump more fps at that res, purely from IPC/clockspeed difference. But sitting along side my GTX1060 6gb it's great for 1080p AAA gaming at high/ultra.

What mobo do you have? It might be worth going for a Ryzen 2.0 2600 instead. Slightly better performance than a R5 1600/x.

I have AX370 GAMING K3

you could get a 1600x or 2600/x which would give you a boost. But the problem is you still won't hit 144hz/FPS not with Ryzen. In some games yes, but not with BF1.

You'd need an Intel Coffee lake/GTX1080/ti to hit 144hz/fps in demanding games.

For what you've described, and others have said, your CPU is holding you back a little as it gets maxed playing that type of game.

Ive the 1600x and GTX1060 6gb. At 1080p 60hz, i typically get 60-90 fps, depending on the map and in game settings. To hit 100fps+ I need a faster CPU and a better GPU. But for my purposes at 60hz, I've plenty to run all games at high ultra and smooth as I like.
