New CPU, random shut-downs. For those that have some spare time, i could use some help!

Hello,
I know this is my second time making a post but, i really need some help and the other thread was dead..

I got a new CPU "which uses the same power" - 125 Watt
My computer randomly shuts down with my new CPU

I can turn it off for like 6 hours, play 2-5min. then it shuts down. If i try to restart my computer i need to replug the power ( Or else nothing happens ) I'm only able to have it running 1-20 sec if it's shortly after last time it happend. <-- If starting/stopping processes / loading windows / programs)
I have no problems at all with my other/old cpu.

I tried:
Updating BIOS version
Cool & Quiet function BIOS
Reformat computer
Tweaking preformance
Re-install grahpics-card + CPU
no bad/destroyed wires to be found
NOTHING which i can measure is overheating. everything is below 60'C

Tried couple of other things also, can't really remember everything
BTW, My computer CAN run like 20 min+ if not doing anything.
If i try to start/stop a process it shuts down
EXAMPLE: I tried to start the famous Minecraft, after clicking "Log in" the computer died..

Specs:

Radeon HD 6770 1 GB
2*4GB 1600 kingston RAM
FX 8150 8 core 3,6Ghz
990FXA-UD5 Motherboard
750 Watt Corsair power supply.
SSD 120 GB
HDD 450 GB
Tower is Thermaltake level 10GT - So enough overall cooling
old CPU is 4 core, 3,6 GHZ

minor detail: there isn't any problems with dust either.

The temps on those new chips are SUPER sensitive. You have to keep AMD chips below 67degC MAX (i.e. 55 for safety) Intels cook up to 100degC (i.e most people stop at 80)

Was your older chip also an AMD?

Yes, Phoenom II x4 955 - 4 core 3,6 ghz

but as written in one of my pictures, i think that the "89-90'C is MAX it can handle- not what has been measured"..
It was around 45-35 when loading windows, then went down to 17'C-24'C

I'll try to keep it cold then ..
but, do you have any ideas for why this happens?
it's not overheating (From what i can measure) highest temp noted is 56'C

What is your exact motherboard? You didn't give the brand. It shouldn't matter, but you never know if there is a known issue of this nature with a certain mobo.

If you are under 60DegC then indeed it is not a thermal issue. Is your OS fully updated?

maybe you have faulty ram. that could make sense if when you go to do something, it shuts down.

nothing wrong with my RAM..
It works perfectly with my other CPU
It happens when i start/exit a process / program

Try to boot into safe mode and check whether you're able to start a program or not.

So, i did as you said, everything in safe mode works fine..

^^ This leads me to believe that there is a driver or OS issue. If you did a clean install it may fix your problems.

but, i think i might try to do it again if you think that will work

This statement of yours makes me think that there is some hardware fault in your PC.

So, before recommending you to format your PC and re-install Windows, I would like you to try these final steps---
1. Remove your HD 6770 GPU from the motherboard and then restart your PC using the in-built graphics card of your motherboard. (If you don't have an in-built GPU then skip this step.)
2. Remove any Anti-Virus software you have installed on your PC.
3. Open the Run dialog box. Type msconfig in it. In msconfig's window, click on the Services tab. Now check "Hide All Microsoft Services". Click on the Disable All button. After this, click on Apply, then OK and finally click on Restart.

If any of these steps solve your problem then tell me so that I could then rectify the error more precisely.

I'll do what you told me some time tomorrow..
It's getting late, I'll keep you updated on the process

Power problems can be a biotch to troubleshoot. What you said about needing to unplug makes me wonder about yours. Can you swap in another power supply? But as somebody said under stress bad ram shows up. I have to shut off cool n quiet or my machine reboots every time it kicks in.
