Upgraded from the Ryzen 5 2400g to the Ryzen 5 3600

My 2400 used to idle around 30 degree and my 3600 now idles around 40, is this ok ?

What are your ambient temps like? Generally, case temps are like 10-15C higher.
40C isn't bad at all though.
Not sure dude.

When playing CS GO it maxes out at 60 degrees
When playing Dirt Ralley it is about the same ( 60 max )

Yepp getting a 38 idle now, thanks mate :)

How often should you reapply the thermal paste ?

Also. why is it hotter than my 2400g ? Is it because its a faster processor

How often you reapply depends:
-on the brand you purchase; how often the manufacturer recommends it be changed - once a year is fine though.
-whenever you remove the heatsink from the cpu.

It's hotter than the 2400g primarily due to having 2 more cores. More cores = more heat.
The speed does play a small part, in that it's drawing more power to do that.
