My current pc build:
intel pentium g4560
Msi H110M PRO-D
RX 580 8GB
Crucial DDR4 1x8GB 2133MHz ram
1tb hdd
120 gb ssd
500 W psu

I'm looking to upgrade my current cpu at around 130 euros. Any suggestions? Cpu will mostly be used for gaming.

Solution
It is somewhere around 180W TDP mark, so when we include the rest of the rig it is actually fine. The new CPU, though, will change that equation. Pentium almost doesn't need any power, but an i7... that would increase the draw by at least 60W more in practice. PSU upgrade would be required in such case. This particular PSU is fine, but nothing spectacular, and with only 3 years of warranty doesn't really look like a durable long-term unit.

IMO, any upgrade except i7 is not worth it. i3 is the same as Pentium G, i5 is marginally faster than i3 but still has only 4 threads overall and lacks power in most recent titles (BF1 and BF5 will eat i5s alive). It is basically "go big or go home" situation.
Yeah, i would never upgrade G4560 to an i3, which is basically the same CPU (2 cores + 2 threads). If anything, the number of threads available will botteneck your gaming experience in most recent titles, so I'd second the above suggestion - try to find i7 6700 if you can. Even 2nd hand, if you have to, but it is well worth it to have 8 threads today.

Hmm... looks like 170e for a used i7 6700. A little over the budget imo

Latvia. I checked our local re-selling site (ss.com) and there's only lga 1155 or 1150 cpu's. On ebay it's around 30 dollars for shipping. An i7 6700 seems like a nice choice tbh. Gonna look out for used ones on the market.

Wow! That's a nice fps boost. I should get another 8gb 2133MHz ram stick? Can i get a different model or should i go for the same model?
