Hi there,

I have a fairly new computer build, I just installed a corsair H115a closed watercooling system today. I'm getting BSODs a lot now, especially when starting a game, or a website that would require a higher load.
Checking my temps, the CPU temp spikes up and down from 25-35C. I'm wondering how likely this is a heating issue or something else? I'm going to order some thermal paste now to reapply tomorrow but wanted to get some feedback on what else I could do to fix this. Much thanks

I should probably add that for last two weeks I was getting asus anti-surge messages in boot after I got a second monitor setup. It would only happen if my computer went to sleep, and I never had any issues with it shutting off so I thought it was a false trigger and turned off the anti-surge monitoring. Is it possible that PSU is the issue?

My system :
CPU: Intel Core i5-6600K
GPU: Nvidia GTX 1080 -
SSD: Samsung 850 Pro
RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 3000
MBD: Asus Z170-A
PSU: EVGA Supernova G2 650W

Solution
for example check that heatsinks and backplates do not short some components.
then inspect cables - no exposed metal, properly connected to PSU and components.
Few weeks ago i had an issue with "anti surge protection" message because my 24pin cable was loosely connected to PSU.
how would I go about checking for specific hardware shorts?
