Question New CPU with old Hardwares

Recently my CPU has stopped working due to overheating issues. It hasn't worked ever since. My CPU was i5 4690 and I am planning to replace it with i5 9800k. The question is my mainboard is Asus b85m-g , it has LGA 1150 Socket which both 4690 and 9800k neeeds (if im not mistaken) , will I run into any problems if I put the I5 9800k on my current mainboard ? Or the mainboard supports only 4th gen cpus ? And will the rest of hardwares work with new cpus ?

CURRENT SETUP
CPU = i5 4690 (not K)
GPU = Asus Strix GTX 970 4gb OC
RAM = Corsair Vengeance 8gb 1666mhz ddr3
HDD = Western Digital Blue 1TB
PSU = Cooler Master Thunder 600w
Mainboard = Asus b85m-g

You can put in up to I7 4790k.

Your current socket is "LGA 1150 "

The 9800k is an "FCLGA1151 " socket.
Won't even physically fit, among all the other reasons it won't work.

i7-4790k is your max.
