[SOLVED] New cpu wolnt boot

I had a i5 7500 and I'm upgrading to a i5 9600k the new cpu will not boot my computer only changed condition is the CPU. I put the old one in boots right up but the new one wolnt even turn the fans. I really need help man this is an issue it was a 300 cpu. Do I need a new mobo to run it? It's the same socket

You need to go to motherboard manufacturer's website and see if the motherboard you have will support the new processor and if so you will need to update bios.
