Question New cpu won’t boot

Just went from an athlon x4 950 to a ryzen 5 2400g and my pc gets stuck on as rock splash screen and can’t go into bios or boot menu

Any advice

Did you not update the bios with the old CPU before putting the new one in? You know that ryzen will not work on the same mobo right?
