Recently I finished my first home build of a gaming computer and it's been running great playing all the games I want like Starcraft 2, Diablo 3, Tera, Vindictus and the like at ultra settings. I've been thinking about upgrading my CPU though because when I host in certain games my FPS takes a dive from 60 to 25 if lots of people join. Specifically it happens when I play Vindictus and host 8 man runs.

I currently have:

CPU - AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition 3.2GHz AM3

GPU - Asus Radeon HD 7850 2GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0

I don't think I'm bottle necking myself but would like to know if I should upgrade my CPU or perhaps my GPU can't handle it?

Other things you should know would be my net runs at 43.6 MBps download and 27.3 MBps upload.

Please let me know, thanks for reading.

ty o.c the phenom if your system (board, psu, cooler) is capable....

I had mine uped to 3.8, it doesn't seems botleneck my 7870 (from benchmark score)...

so it should capable handle your 7850.....

but the games like sc and bf3 (multiplayer) are bound to the cpu.. so not much can do if it sometimes lagging when crowded....
