Assuming it’s a good B550 board with quality VRM’s the only real upgrade choices are a 5800x, 5900x or 5950x. For gaming the 5950x is pointless and sometimes performs under the 5900x. So your choices are 5800x or 5900x, personally I don’t think the 5800x is enough of an upgrade to be worthwhile. This all assumes that the 3700x is impacting performance to a level you can notice, if it’s not a cpu upgrade won’t yield much benefit.I
think it’s a b550 and a nzxt kraken x73
I game and stream, and my cpu usage is high. My full specs are 3700x water cooled 16gb of ddr4 ram at 3200mhz 3070 gpu. The main monitor I play on is 1440p 240hzWhat do you use the pc for?
In what way is the 3700x not meeting your needs?
What is the full pc spec?
High cpu usage is not necessarily a bad thing, actually quite normal when gaming and streaming. Are you sure the cpu is actually having a material impact on performance? I am quite happy with my 3700x and 3080 for 1440p.I game and stream, and my cpu usage is high. My full specs are 3700x water cooled 16gb of ddr4 ram at 3200mhz 3070 gpu.
