[SOLVED] New cpu?

think it’s a b550 and a nzxt kraken x73
Assuming it’s a good B550 board with quality VRM’s the only real upgrade choices are a 5800x, 5900x or 5950x. For gaming the 5950x is pointless and sometimes performs under the 5900x. So your choices are 5800x or 5900x, personally I don’t think the 5800x is enough of an upgrade to be worthwhile. This all assumes that the 3700x is impacting performance to a level you can notice, if it’s not a cpu upgrade won’t yield much benefit.
I game and stream, and my cpu usage is high. My full specs are 3700x water cooled 16gb of ddr4 ram at 3200mhz 3070 gpu. The main monitor I play on is 1440p 240hz
High cpu usage is not necessarily a bad thing, actually quite normal when gaming and streaming. Are you sure the cpu is actually having a material impact on performance? I am quite happy with my 3700x and 3080 for 1440p.

What motherboard and exact cooler do you have?
