Are companies still going to produce new CRT models, it appears that the whole industry is moving to the new LCD technology. The LCD technology is constantly improving with ffd, beter contrast, and brightness. I dunno if buying a CRT is a wise choice, or if it's better to wait for the LCD prices to drop and then buy a nice LCD. With these improvements LCD's appear to be better for text and also for images\video quality than the CRT's. What to u guys think...
). Hitachi just released an LCD 2/ 16ms response time- that is 12 ms rise and 4 ms fall which seriously reduces ghosting. Furthermore, with FFD, I really doubt it'll be much of an issue- w/ such response times, one can display 62.5 frames clearly- enough for the human eye to perceive as smooth. Also, Sharp has this 10 bit gamma correction thing which really improves colors, so imo, the way LCD's are heading, they'll be able to replace CRT's in graphics environments as well.
