[SOLVED] New Crucial 1TB SSD - Cant find drive???

Hello Everyone

Connected my new SSD, decided to go for a fresh start and a new load of windows 10. however when i boot it form the USB and go into custom install it cannot find my new SSD i believe. Is there a way i can check the SSD is actually working and if so what am i doing wrong?

It is HP computer if that helps at all.

What model SSD ? M.2 or 2.5" drive?
What model HP computer?

Drive should be detected in BIOS.

Is the ssd properly connected with sata data and sata power cables?
Did you check BIOS? Is the drive detected there?
Check sata port settings in BIOS. Some might be disabled.

check your SATA power and data connections.
also make sure you're using the correct SATA ports, some HP's have grey SATA ports in addition to the standard white or black.
