I'm just going to start this off by saying I don't know alot about computers but I know how to build one. My situation is that I bought a intel i7 7700k for my bazooka motherboard. Then I bought a separate Intel fan for it that matches. The code on it says "E29477-002" BUT THE problem is the fan doesn't fit my motherboard. All I'm asking is what fan should I be buying for my Intel i7 7700k with my bazooka mother board. I'm upgrading from a Intel i5 6402p and the fan that came with was a "E29477-007". So what fan should I buy for a decent prize

Yeah I actually figured everything out after posting the question on here. I...
That fan heatsink combo is for a socket 1366 motherboard. You have a socket 1151 motherboard. so you need to find a fan heatsink combo for a socket 1151 motherboard.

You realize I hope that you will need to update the bios on your MSI motherboard for that cpu to work. Also that motherboard is not made for overclocking so you can forget about that too.

Last thing is that even though you can't overclock, that cpu tends to run hot so you need a decent heatsink and fan and good case ventilation. Something along the lines of this. https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835186134

Since you can't overclock it would most likely be enough.

Yeah I actually figured everything out after posting the question on here. I ended up buy a Corsair h60 and I bought a new motherboard a MSI gaming intel b250.
