Hey there. My girlfriend and I bought this computer mainly for 4k editing but I had a question about how the specs hold up for gaming. If anyone can give me some input on the build/how it would run new games etc. (max settings)
thanks

Solution
Very powerful gaming system for most monitors. Unless you are running a 4K monitor, you can run pretty much any game at ultra settings with high frames per second. If you are running a 4K monitor, it will still do alright, but you will likely need to turn some settings down to maintain playable FPS.

would be running off my 42" tv. What do you mean "unless you are running a 4k monitor" ? Thanks for the response.

Good for 1440p gaming. Quite bad value pc however. Should be fine for your pruposes. But since the focus is mainly video editing a ryzen 1800x or the new 2700x would have been a much better choice for a bit cheaper.

Computer monitors run a various resolutions. 1080p, 1440p, 4k etc. This indicates the number of pixels the monitor has. For higher resolution monitors like 4k, there are a lot of pixels, and it takes an extremely powerful graphics card to be able to generate that many pixels at a fast rate.

Most TVs are 1,920 x 1,080 pixels. If that's the case with yours, your computer will have absolutely NO problems maxing all games settings and playing very smoothly.
