built a new custom pc for a mate, about the 15th pc i have built. hitting the on button will not do anything at all, no fan spins no nothing. I have tried a different power supply, tried swapping the front panel connectors around too. different ram and also tried without the graphics card, i am assuming it is a motherboard or actual faulty button on the case. anyone had this issue before? its a NZXT h440 case and a MSI H270 TOMAHAWK ARCTIC motherboard. cheers guys for the help

Did you reset the BIOS yet? clear CMOS

Are there bent pins on the CPU socket of the motherboard?

Which CPU is it?

spacers between case and motherboard installed in the correct places?

which cooler is installed?

minimal config installed?
PSU, motherboard, CPU with cooler, one RAM (try all Slots)

To reset the bios what must i do? I removed the battery tried to turn on then replaced the battery and still nothing?

The CPU went in first go i checked the pins. CPU is an intel 7600k with a antec c40 cooler?

spaces between the case and motherboard are in place and where never moved.

i have tried all 4 ram slots with both the new ram and also my own ram being the same.

psu, motherboard, CPU cooler and 1 RAM.

No power received at all.

cheers

I have actually tried that and also tried booting with my own PSU. The PSU works

Says use a jumper, which was never supplied or after googling it i have never seen it ever supplied with any motherboard. So i am not sure how i will go about that...

the case is a NZXT H440

shorten the two pins with something conductive like a screwdriver

if the stand offs are preinstalled, have a closer look at them, if these are really in the right spot.
test the minimum config outside the case on something non conductive like wooden surface. Don´t use foil or other packaging which came with the hardware.

Thanks for trying to help me out.

looking at the stand offs they are in the correct place in correspondence to the motherboard. I just tried now to short the 2 cmos pins, still nothing.

very frustrating, thinking its the motherboard
