I am in the process of building a Desk Mod for my PC. The finish product will be similar to this. I have done a desk mod before but this will be my first time using a liquid cooling loop. I have done some research on what is needed and I have a pretty firm grasp on the mechanics behind the system. I was wondering if I could get help in brands and specifics.
For example:
What pump will be powerful enough to move the amount of liquid in a desk mod?
What size tubing is best?
Is it necessary to use liquid cooling on all hardware (motherboard, HDD, Ram)?
What are the differences in the many types of fittings?
Should I run the liquid cooling on its own power supply?
These are my specs.
Processor: i5-5690K
Ram: Corsair Vengeance Pro 16g 2400mhz
Mobo: Asus Maximus VII Hero
SSD: Samsung 840 EVO
Graphics: Asus NVIDIA GTX 780ti x2
Power: Corsair AX 1200
Any advice would be wonderful. Thank you.
