New build powers on for a ms and right back off. I've tried resetting the CPU, memory, and made sure there was nothing behind the mobo. Pulled the cmos battery and still get the same results. Is there anything I'm missing?

Are the standoffs installed properly on the case? Sounds like the motherboard might be shorting.
Did you go through the entire checklist in the "READ before posting about boot problems!" sticky at the top of the forum? You should probably try breadboarding the system to rule out a short.
Ran down my normal checlist to try and identify the problem. Just got off the phone with ASUS a minute ago and told me to RMA the mobo back to the New Egg for a replacement.
I would go through the checklist in the sticky before sending in the board for RMA. I've seen a lot more no boot problems caused by user error than hardware failure. Of course hardware dies, but it's always good to do all the troubleshooting possible before sending something in for RMA. I don't even want to know the percentage of hardware returned to Newegg that works fine.
