Hey all, I just got a Dell s2715h (It's the one with the glossy display, and thin bezels btw) and comapred to my old monitor(HP 2311 series) the colors aren't as good. On the old one I was using full brightness, 76 contrast, and a slightly modified version of the 'gaming' preset. On this monitor it just takes color that is already very yellow and makes it even more yellow, and other things. On the Dell, I can turn the contrast all the way up to mimic the whites of the other one, but that makes the picture hurt my eyes to look at. Does anyone know good color calibration software/hardware/options for this monitor? I looked online, and NVIDIA control panel didn't work when I tried to adjust anything.

If you have any questions, you know what to do! 😉

Solution
Are you using the same connectivity type for both monitors (VGA, HDMI)? That could cause a difference. Does the monitor have a color temperature choice in the menus? Are they the same between the two monitors?
I have two of thouse monitors, in one every color is well displayed (VGA conected) but in the other hand the other monitor (HDMI connected) seems to display the image with a "yellow-ish" wash out, whites are ugly to look at compared to the other monitor. Have you solved the issue?

Yes I have! Unfortunately it didn't save when I tried it with Windows 7, but in W10 it worked great!
If you have an nVidia GPU follow these instructions.
Click on the Windows start bar, then type "calibrate display color" it should come up with a calibration window. Your going to want to mainly focus on gamma. I prefer lower gamma, and that solved most of my issues. That warmer color tint, when the RGB slider comes up slide the red preset down one and the colors (Especially greys and whites) won't look that reddish yellowish tint anymore!

When you use HDMI it just switches to YpBr and limits the colors and black luminescence, meaning your black colors look like shades of grey. So annoying! Hope this helps for you!
