Question New desktop PC with odd question ?

Hi, newbie here.

I recently upgraded my desktop from an old HP with Win7 to a new HP Envy TE01-5xxx with win11 Home. Also new monitor Acer 27 ED27OR FHD. My question is every once and awhile when I move mouse to wake up PC I get the screen of lines and snow (see link below) that will last a sec or 2. On occasion longer then go to mu sign in page. I would guess 3 out of 10 times of waking it up. Any ideas? Is it monitor or the PC?

The thing to do is try and narrow it down, although how easy depends on how frequently it happens? You'd try connecting the PC to some other display (even a TV), connect some other device (e.g. DVD or Blu-ray player) to the monitor, and also try a different HDMI cable between PC and monitor. (You haven't given the exact spec of the PC, so we can't find out the exact output options you've got on the PC.)

It could also be software, something wrong with the driver. You could try updating the graphics driver.
