I've been working on this system design for months.. If anybody has a system with at least 3 parts from this CPU-MOBO-RAM-HD combination, I would love to hear about your experiences, either good or bad. Thanks!

Nothing wrong with it at all however I would make sure to get a CPU cooler! Preferably a NH-D15 if you want air cooled. I'd also invest more into the case, it's rather on the cheap side for something as good as that.

One last thing if you arn't encoding videos and using photoshop you could cut the cost and get a 6700k and 16GB RAM which would allow you to get a GTX 1080 instead.

In gaming it has been seen that the extra IPC on the 6700k beats out a 5930k. $160 cheaper with a cooler, better PSU and GPU the only thing less is the RAM which for gaming 16GB is plenty and you can add more if you choose too.

Thanks for the feedback, it is much appreciated. Def going to get a Noutac (sp?) CPU cooler. This will be 100% for 3D animation & video editing (no gaming) so that's why I selected the 5930k + ASUS X99A-II mobo. I need THE POWER. 8) Might cut the RAM for now to get a GTX 1080.

Thanks again,
- DK
