So I recently bought a Seagate FireCuda 2TB SSHD as well as an SSD, both installed today. My problem is with the Seagate. Everything seems to be working fine, I have files and applications on it and it is detected by Windows. My problem is that when certain application seemingly try to detect it they freeze. I have tried to run both HWiNFO and Seagate's own SeaTools for Windows and both freeze up before actually starting. SeaTools gets stuck at "USB: Scanning for supported drives. Please wait..." and HWiNFO freezes at "Detecting ATA/SCSI Drive(s)..."

What is causing this issue and how am I supposed to fix it?

Solution
make sure the mb has the newest bios file. if your running an m2 or nve some sata ports on newer mb get turned off look at your mb guild see if any of the ports will be turned off.
