SPECS:
  • Intel Core i7-8700k CPU @ 3.80GHz
  • NVIDIA Geforce GTX 1080
  • Intel UHD Graphics 630 (second GPU)
  • 16 GB RAM
  • Windows 10
  • 2x HP 24mh FHD monitors (new displays)
Ever since I purchased these two new monitors for a new display setup, I'm getting horrible issues with lag and freezing during gameplay. I've tried a whole bunch of things including reducing in-game resolution, changing graphics settings, making sure it wasn't an internet-related issue, and nothing seems to help. Anyone have a solution? Thanks.

Are both monitors connected to the GTX1080?
They should be.
I assume you are playing on the primary display, and the secondary display is for relatively static stuff.
The GTX 1080 only has one slot for HDMI, so no. Each monitor is connected to a different display. The primary is connected to the 1080.

What is your PSU? Does black screen or self shut down ever happened? Adding second monitor adds a lot more work for the GPU thus consume more power.
Not sure what the PSU is. All I can tell you is that the computer is a pre-built assembled by DigitalStorm. I never get shut downs or black screens, either.
