New Evo 840 mSata. Should I enable over provisioning?

So I just got a brand spanking new Samsung 840 Evo mSata SSD 😀 Been playing with the Magician software from Samsung and I'm wondering if I need to set the OP. Is the drive already factory OP'd enough or should I set it manually at 10%? Or can I set it lower cause that's a substantial amount of storage that the OP takes up.

Hmmm....there so many different advice. Some say that the drive is already provisioned enough out of the box but others say that isn't the case with Samsung drives

If you use an OS supporting TRIM and leave always 10% drive space free the over provisioning is not necessary.

Well I got a 250 gig for a reason. So around 200 is what I'm looking for.

Windows 8.1 64bit and TRIM enabled. I have never in my life had less than 10% of storage left on an OS drive :lol: I delete stuff I don't need

That's what Over Provisioning IS... leaving some empty space at the end of the drive.
