New fan but where????

ok, I just bought a cooler master excalibur 120mm fan.The plug on the end of it has a 4 prong slot.My mobo fan connectors all have 3 prongs.Would I need to purchase a fan control unit or is there some way I can hook it up as is??Thanx

Use the included adapter to covert it to the 3 pin motherboard connector or the other one to convert it for use with a power supply molex connector.

I am still having trouble.the fan does not plug into the connector it comes with.Looks like I need a fan controller.Any other options??

Adaptors will be the answer one way or another, can you post pics of the lead coming from the fan itself, and all the adaptors you have, we'll get you sorted

All the adapter does is drop the 4th pin. It won't plug in to the header as is?

only option I see is a fan controller.Its kool,thank you guys for help,you did all you could,besides i can now hook up an extra fan or 2 I am sure I will need it with this new Nvidia GTX#480
