Hey guys I recently bought these fans to install in my system. Before putting all 3 in the case I externally checked one of them to see if it was working and it operated just fine. When I installed everything in the case I plugged the controller to the PSU and turned the system on. I immediately heard a sharp noise and the system shut down and would not turn back on.

I took the PSU out and checked if it working using a jumper cable but it was dead. Could the fans have caused the damage? I am now wondering whether there is a possibility of any other components being damaged and how to check. This is the PSU

Thanks
MT

Solution

From what I hear it sounds like one of the fans could've been faulty. Try contacting the store or manufacturer. :)

I calculated everything and I use about 340W from the 650W the PSU provides so that's not the problem. Keep in mind that everything was working fine before installing the fans.

Alright, maybe you wired it up wrong and short-circuited it?
Not blaming just brainstorming. :)

I know. No thank don't think so since I connected one of the fans in the beginning and was working and then installed the rest
