New fans for my watercooling.

Tomorrow im buying some new fans. I have two choices, Corsair SP Performance Edition or the Corsair SP Quiet Edition. My i7 3770k is overcloked to 4.5 ghz with a voltage on 1.240. Is the extra noice worth the extra cooling?

I would get a pwm fan, that way you can control the noise to cooling output. Do the corsair SP Performance come in 4-pin pwm?

Personally, I vouche for the Performance Editions. You can always turn down the RPMs.

Well one the page there stands that its 4-pin pwn fans so im going for the performace edition!

Those fans do work good (pretty much the stock h100i fans just slightly slower if I recall correctly).

Which is why I asked what cooling you currently have. If it's a H100i, just run the stock fans at lower speeds. Save yourself the $25 bucks, just to get a lower RPM variant. 😛

Get the quiet editions, the performance ones are very very loud fans. They sound like Jet Turbines.

I have Corsair SP Quiet Edition, they are indeed very quiet. Airflow is still very good, would recommend.

I also use the Corsair SP Quiet Edition, and they are extremely quiet while also efficient. You really can't go wrong with either, it's just up to you on how much noise you want to deal with (although that's probably just splitting hairs). If you're using headphones, it shouldn't be an issue.
