Hey everyone, great information here on this site and I look forward to everyones feedback as well. So this is going to be my first/new build. I am a novice in this world and am trying to get an idea of what works with what... few questions first off...

1. Do I need a soundcard? or a floppy drive?
2. I do not need a modem, b/c i have wi-fi correct?
3. Do the parts below work well with each other

Whats your budget?

Onboard sound is good enough, you shouldn't need a sound card.

I would recommend upgrading your GPU(video card) if you plan on gaming.

Say no to 9500Gt..it will bottleneck ur processor in the games...like others said go for 4850 very gud but if you are not willing to spend more on the gfx then u can try the 4670 (with the GDDR3)....and for the case antec sonata is very gud....and for the harddrive u can consider the 640gb western digital...very fast...mayb jus a few bucks more...but well spent...

Do people still buy floppy drives ? Apart from the enthusiasts who does gpu bios flashing. Just pick one up from an older pc.

You don't need a floppy drive really...

Total: $802.91 - $50 MIR = $752.91

With the i7 cores being released next week, I am pretty sure you can get higher quality MOBO and CPU if you wait a couple of weeks
