Hello, I just got 8 gigs of G skill ram in a kit of 2 (4 each). I adjusted the voltaje and my bios is updated to the lastest version.

After I installed the RAM i powered up the computer, but noticed that there is no display, the fans work, pc doesn't whistle, and the mouse and keyboard dont have any power.

I have tested already changing slots, only using one of the 2 cards, and even buying another 2 rams of 4 gigs each (Kingston hyperX) but it was the same

In the specificacions of my motherboard: a p5q3 Deluze/Wiki-Ap (https://www.asus.com/es/Motherboards/P5Q3_DeluxeWiFiAP_n/) It says it can take up to 16 gigs of ram.

My version of BIOS is the last one 2105.

Thanks beforehand

Solution
ou have an older mobo which only will run with low density memory chips, about all the DRAM made since 2011 or so is made using high density memory chips. GSkill Support identified the NT series of Value DRAM as it's made with low density chips and is compatible with the older socket 775 mobos.
