Hi all, I'll try to use the existing template :)

  • Silent build - as quiet as possible... I don't really like the fan's noise
    Easy to upgrade - not before 3 years at least
    I would like to have a 1070-1080
    A good SSD
    additional 2 TB HDD
    no big or fancy case, mid should be ok - more about it to be quiet than stunning... what about the Fractal Design Define R5?
    DVD player needed
    Headphones and keyborad and mouse not needed
    1st time building my own PC

Everything is covered imo. Dual monitors. Good SSD. Gaming(6700K + 1070+ 16GB RAM). Streaming, spreadsheets and PS(heavy is fine too) are going to be smooth and quick with the SSD along with 16GB of RAM. The 1070 will have you happily gaming or whatever it is you choose to do. It will also easily handle your dual monitor setup which do have thinner bezels.

Interesting pick of parts.

But i should mention,
- Why Skylake over Kaby? They are about the same price while Kaby is faster.
- You chose a unlocked CPU and but is using a MOBO that doesn't support overclock. ( Which op said he don't want ) I believe the 6700 is already a good option, and will save you money not only by itself but with the after-market cooler as well.
- I believe that G.Skill RipJaws V are cheaper and as good as the one you picked, could save a few bucks there to keep it under 2000
- A GTX 1070 in a 1080p monitor with only 60Hz is kinda overkill, i'd suggest looking for 144Hz ( With G-Sync, preferably )

Aside from that, nice choices.

- don't need Headphones and keyboard so that money can go somewhere else maybe?
- what about the Fractal Design Define R5 ? i've read it is supposed to be good for silent builds

The 7700K is running HOT. Seen just a few too many issues. Keeping it simple and going with a tried and true high end i7.

The Z170 does support overclocking. When OC'ing is as easy as changing 1 number it offers longevity. It is VERY easy to change 37 to 44(example). Later on in its life that extra horsepower will be available. To be honest I missed the no. However the longevity OC'ing offers does have value.

I noticed that. However the Ripjaws have extremely long heatsink fins. I prefer them shorter so they don't interfere with the heatsink's fan. Keeping it simple. No guesswork with clearance issues.

I still recommend the Cryorig H7 over the stock Intel cooler. The non-K 6700 does include its own CPU cooler. Can always upgrade.

Few words.

CPU: The best Skylake family CPU there is with 4 cores and 8 threads to suit your streaming needs. CPU is also K-series with unlocked multiplier for OC (overclock).

CPU cooler: One of the best air coolers with nice looks.

Case: Picked nice case with side window that should do well. Since choosing a case is a personal choice, feel free to replace it when you don't like it.

PSU: Your system's power plant comes directly from the best PSU OEM, Seasonic. 80+ Gold certified, semi-modular cables and 5 years of warranty.

ODD: Put in one generic ODD that does it's job well.

OS: Win 10, as requested. Nothing much to say about it.

Monitors: Went with 24", TN panel, 2ms, 1080p BenQ monitors for your build. Short response time and TN panel is suited better for gaming than IPS panel and 5ms monitor like the Asus VC239H 23.0" suggested above. Asus monitor is good for web browsing though due to the brighter colors and slower response time.

With added shipping this build should be within your €2K budget.

i was wondering

1 - is 550W enough? maybe going bigger is better? better safe than sorry...
2 - should I get a sound card too?
3 - don't i need wireless and wired networking parts too?

You're welcome. :)

1. 550W PSU will do just fine. GPU uses max 150W, add the rest of the system at about 200W and total would be 350W. With 550W PSU, you have 200W to spare for CPU/GPU OC. Even with OC, max that your system consumes would be 450W, leaving 100W to spare.

2. All MoBo's have built-in sound cards. The MoBo i picked for you has 7.1-channel High Definition audio that is run by Realtek ALC1150 audio codec.

If you want to have better sound quality then MoBo can deliver, feel free to go with dedicated sound card that connects to the PCI-E x1 slot on your MoBo. Though, most people (including me) are happy with built-in soundcard. Only audiophiles use dedicated sound cards nowadays.

Since i'm not audiophile, i can't tell which one of them is the best one to go for.

3. As far as wired networking goes, your MoBo has one LAN (RJ45) port to where you can connect your network cable. MoBo itself has built-in Intel I219-V Gigabit LAN controller.

For wireless network connection, you need a dedicated wireless network adapter. Those come in 2 forms: 1. USB based; 2. PCI-E x1 based.

While wireless network adapter that connects to the USB port is both smaller and cheaper, they have several issues why not to use them. Some are low quality while others can't keep the connection stable. Also, they take up one USB slot that you might need for other peripherals.

Here i suggest you go for wireless network adapter that uses PCI-E x1 slot on your MoBo. While being more expensive than USB based wireless network adapters, you'll get much better quality and stable connection with them.

Btw, your MoBo has three PCI-E x1 slots and even if you go for dedicated sound card and wireless network adapter, you're left with one free PCI-E x1 slot. As far as into which PCI-E x1 slot you should connect them - that's up to you since it doesn't make any difference where you connect them.

Even though GTX 1080 is better than GTX 1070 and gives you more time before GPU upgrade is due, i don't suggest going for it. Mostly because your dual 1080p monitors will do just fine with GTX 1070. GTX 1080 is viable only when you get yourself a 4K monitor to utilize GTX 1080 at it's fullest. With 1080p or 14440p monitors, you'd be better off using GTX 1070. Save your money for later or upgrade other components in your build.
