New gaming build 2016

Solution
You don't need an $800 monitor, I think G-Sync and Freesync have ruined everything. That money should be better invested in getting the best hardware you can get. What good is an $800 monitor if you can't take full advantage of all the features it has to offer?

CPU: Intel Core i7-6700K 4.0GHz Quad-Core Processor ($369.95 @ B&H)
CPU Cooler: CRYORIG H5 Universal 65.0 CFM CPU Cooler ($46.99 @ Newegg)
Motherboard: ASRock Z170 Extreme6+ ATX LGA1151 Motherboard ($179.99 @ Newegg)
Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws V Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-3000 Memory ($78.99 @ Newegg)
Storage: Samsung 950 PRO 256GB M.2-2280...
It will work. I would make some changes though.

Probably go with an M.2 drive and take advantage of NVMe.

Certainly go for some faster memory. 2133 is the bottom end of DDR4 and is actually slower then available mid-range DDR3.

Hybrid cooler on the GPU. It works, but I would rather do a full cover block and add the CPU to a loop rather then have big air and a liquid cooled GPU.

PG279Q is a small risk, and if you are stickler for quality this might not be the monitor for you. While it performs for games many have color uniformity issues, severe backlight bleed, and the occasional bad G-sync module.

Performance wise a single 980ti is not going to achieve 144hz on all game engines. (The 165Hz overclock makes the monitors response time take a sharp dive, so it is best to be avoided) But- g-sync will smooth out the performance gaps.

If you want to get a monitor like that, I won't stop you but at the same time I will tell you that those monitors are expensive and ridiculously overrated. This is what you should be getting for a tower - I upped the CPU to an i7 and switched out the SSD for a Samsung 950 Pro.

Appreciate the answers.
I just heard that g sync was very good, but you are right I can save some bucks by going regular 1440p 144hz.
I like the fractal r5 cuz it's silent and I don't mind not seeing my system, but what are the difference beet went that and the nzxt 340. I don't know about the md2 or the benefits but I will try it. I live in a small country so some parts are more expensive or harder to get.
Thanks again.

I've updated the list but in my country it's 2280 dollars approximately.
I will probably get it anyway and a new monitor the following month but not the rog swift.
Thanks

Yeah GSync and Freesync are ridiculously overrated. Not worth double the display cost over what everything else retails for. Some people might say that M2 drives are not worth the money but the data transfer rates are astronomical compared to what a traditional HD and even SATA/6 drives are doing right now.

What country are you from? Knowing that will help to suggest parts.

I'm from Denmark. I have put away the pro 950 for the 850 evo since its the same speed or even faster in standard usage and that's my area. Haven't found what display yet but I'm not going with the rog swift.
