Hello everyone!
first of all thank you for taking the time to read my post, and sorry if I misspell anything, english is not my first language.
As the title says, im building a new pc this week, Im using amazon to buy cause they ship to Mexico and dont charge a huge amount for it, im not planing to overclocking asap but i like to keep that door open, here are the specs i've selected any insight or opinion will be highly valued:
CPU: i5 6600k I chose this CPU over the i5 4690k
CPU Cooler:
Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO - CPU Cooler with 120mm PWM Fan (RR-212E-20PK-R2)
MOBO: MSI Enthuastic Gaming Intel Z170A LGA 1151 DDR4 USB 3.1 ATX Motherboard (Z170A Gaming M5)
GPU: MSI Limited GAMING Edition GeForce GTX 980 TI 6GB OC DirectX 12 VR READY (GTX 980TI GAMING 6G GOLDEN EDITION)
heres where im having trouble, i've seen a lot of benchmarks that shows the 980ti has better FPS in most games than the 1070 also they have roughly the same price in amazon, other places like pcgamer say that the 1070 is vastly superior to the 980 ti. If i could i would buy a 1080 and forget this dilema, but i dont like being charged 100-200 USD extra just because of the hype.
RAM: G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM 2133 (PC4 17000) Desktop Memory F4-2133C15D-16GVR
PSU: EVGA SuperNOVA 650 G2 80 Plus Gold Rated, Fully Modular ATX 12V/EPS 12V ECO Mode Power Supply 220-G2-0650-Y1
SSD: Samsung 850 EVO - 250GB - 2.5-Inch SATA III Internal SSD (MZ-75E250B/AM)
HD: WD Blue 1TB Desktop Hard Disk Drive - 5400 RPM SATA 6 Gb/s 64MB Cache 3.5 Inch - WD10EZRZ
I already have the case tower its a phantom 410and the optical drive.
as per my budget I can throw another 200 USD, but im trying to get as much for my money as I can, I'll upgrade this build in another 3-5 years depending on the new components available, also I cant wait another month to build this pc, mainly cause I sold my current one and I dont like being on my old mcbook to long (it was a gift, dont judge me haha).
oh, my monitor is an Acer Predator XB241H 24 inch, 1920 x1080, 144hz and g-sync.
PS: I've had a very good experience with MSI but if you have any other recomendation i'll consider it
thank you all in advance!!
