New Gaming Build Advice Please - $1000-$1500

Hi everyone, thanks for the help. I'm building a gaming PC for a friend and can use some help

Approximate Purchase Date: I plan on buying it over the next month or two, I'm hoping to search sites once I know what I want to look for good deals

Budget Range: $1,000-1,500, would prefer closer to 1,000 (who wouldnt) but for good reason I would gladly go up to 1,5000

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming, average word documents and internet

Are you buying a monitor: 2-3, but these are not included in the budget


Do you need to buy OS: Yes

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: Newegg / tigerdirect, but i would do any safe site

Location: Long Island, New York

Overclocking: Most likely not

SLI or Crossfire: Probably not in the beginning, maybe for an upgrade in a few years? Would appreciate opinions on this

Your Monitor Resolution: 1920 x 1080. MAYBE 1920 x 1200 if there is good reason for it

I went with the 850W PSU and Z87X board so that the system is ready to add another GTX 780 in SLI down the road. A 650W PSU would easily power the system as-is, but would require a PSU upgrade for SLI.
