Hi Guys,

I'm new here :)

I have never build a PC before so I am new to this and need some of your suggestions.

I have done some reading online and put a gaming build together that I have listed below.

I'd love to hear what you think before I go ahead and purchase.

I hope I have given all the info you guys need but let me know if you need more.

Approximate Purchase Date: November 19

Budget Range: £800 - £1100

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming, surfing the internet. I mainly want to play WoW on max settings with no issues.

Are you buying a monitor: I didn't plan to, I currently have Samsung S24B300HL. Is that an acceptable monitor?

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: Open to suggestions.

Location: London, UK

Parts Preferences: I'm open to suggestions.

Overclocking: Maybe - I don't really understand fully what overclocking is or how to do this.

Additional Comments: I would like a quiet PC. Only building this to play WoW. Running two monitors. I would only be surfing the web on the second screen while playing.

And Most Importantly, Why Are You Upgrading: I do not have a gaming PC at the moment.

This is far better performing and better quality build.
No compromise on quality or performance.
It will run fine even without activating Windows10. There is no limited time for activating it and can be run forever without activation.

Solution
No reason to pair a locked CPU and low profile Noctua cooler with an expensive Z390 motherboard.
Corsair VS series is a budget lineup and not designed for this tier of gaming PC.

I kept this all in an ITX chassis. This increased cost over a slightly larger micro atx build, however this system will far outperform your system with both CPU and GPU performance.

@King Dranzer @NightHawkRMX Guys thank you so much for your help I obviously needed it.

I used both of your suggestions to come up with the below spec. Would you mind just having a look before I go ahead.

Few questions too:

  1. I have never build a PC myself before. If I buy the below products is that everything I need to have a complete unit? (i.e can I unbox, assemble then turn it on with out anything else.)
  2. Is my monitor suitable? (Samsung S24B300HL)
  3. When selecting the below products the following message is displayed "Warning some AMD B450 chipset motherboards may need a BIOS update prior to using Matisse CPUs. Upgrading the BIOS may require a different CPU that is supported by older BIOS revisions." Is this an issue that I need to do something about? Literally no idea what it means.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 3.6 GHz 6-Core Processor (£175.98 @ Aria PC)
Motherboard: MSI B450-A PRO MAX ATX AM4 Motherboard (£74.98 @ Amazon UK)
Memory: Crucial Ballistix Sport LT 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3200 Memory (£59.99 @ Amazon UK)
Storage: Samsung 860 Evo 500 GB 2.5" Solid State Drive (£59.99 @ Box Limited)
Video Card: MSI Radeon RX 5700 XT 8 GB Video Card (£384.99 @ Box Limited)
Case: Corsair SPEC-05 ATX Mid Tower Case (£39.99 @ Amazon UK)
Power Supply: Corsair Vengeance 650 W 80+ Silver Certified Semi-modular ATX Power Supply (£74.98 @ Amazon UK)
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 Home OEM 64-bit (£79.97 @ Amazon UK)

Total: £950.87

Yep, its good.
Is my monitor suitable? (Samsung S24B300HL)
It will work, but your PC could drive a much more expensive monitor.
No issue there. The motherboard is 100% compatable with no tinkering or bios updates.
