I'm working on my first gaming PC build. Here's what I've decided so far:

This totals up to about $495, call me cheap but I'm trying to stay under $500.00 and unless there's a really good deal out there. Any recommendations? I have an 80GB hard drive, some old cooling fans, a disk drive, 2x512 MB RAM cards, and an modem/router combo (I didn't think that was relevant but maybe it is.) lying around as well. I plan on playing games like Skyrim, Assassin's Creed, Battlefield, etc. How can I improve and stay close to my price range?

You can probably get away with 4gb of ram. If you are planning to get ac3 get this card- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130840 cause you get it for free with it. Plus its better than that 7770..

Not sure about that case, looks like that cheapest thing around. Go for one of these

Much better psu- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817256061

That should suit you fine for your needs.

You think the psu is better even though it's 80 plus as opposed to 80 plus bronze?

What about this card http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814161414 it's a new model. My monitor resolution is only 1680 x 1050 so anything more powerful than the 7770 will probably go to waste don't you think?

Also I found this case http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811121120. It's cheaper and I'm on a pretty tight budget right now.
