Planning on having a gaming computer built for me. Curious what you think about the equipment to play modern / new games at HIGH settings (I'm sick and tired of my ultra low sttings, 600x800 for these games on my laptop). I appreciate any future advice you may have!

CPU - Intel i5-3570K

Video Card - NVIDIA GTX660ti
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814121656

Motherboard - ASRock Z77 Extreme 4 (Supports up to quad SLI)

Power Supply - Corsair TX750 (750 watts, this should be able to handle two video cards for a future SLI upgrade.)

Solid State Drive - Samsung 840 Series SSD

Hard Drive - Seagate Barracuda 1TB 7200RPM

Ram - Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2x4GB) 1600Mhz

Case - Corsair C70 Gunmetal http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811139013

Thanks!

It's better to have 2 x 4GB instead of 1 x 8GB RAM and you need low profile: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231546

The C70 is OK, the 500R has better air flow: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811139010

Better power supply (you don't need 750W for a single GPU) : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817151096

If you want to SLI in the future then get this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817703027

Otherwise everything else looks good.

In order to play games on high settings you will want to get a better video card if not sli or crossfire. I personally prefer ATI because they are more affordable. Also you may want a cpu cooler of some sorts. With those parts currently you will not be able to play on high settings.

Here is your build, without the videocard, in pc partpicker.

For a video card I would go with a 670 or a 7970. The 660ti does not have enough power.
