I just made a new gaming desktop less than a week ago. It's running just fine, staying cool enough, but every now and then, several times a day, when I turn the tv I use as a moniter back on, the screen is fully green. Nothing else. Just this bright, infuriating green. I have no idea why and I have to hold down the power button to restart the computer. Please help, this is driving me crazy!

My specs are on this thread: http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-2245518/gaming-rendering-computer-700-amazon.html

Solution
Does it happen on screen saver?
does it go on standby after like an hour or 15 mins?
does windows shut off the video card to save power?
Check those really quick, what I do is just have windows shut down monitors I change the preformance to full power and change it so it doesnt turn off the video card at all to save power. Let me know if it helps

Solution

Screen saver is disabled
The screen will never go black
This hasn't happened since I stopped leaving windows media player open.
