Keep in mind that if you go for a high res 4k screen, performance will go down. I think a standard 1080 range screen will be fine for a laptop and it will help a lot in keeping your games running longer with smoother frames and higher settings.

there are plenty 980m well under the 2k range. look around neweggs and amazon as well. there are plenty of good deals there.

xotic pc has barebone 980s for around 1.3k also.

do not settle for 970 if u plan on playing on high for next few years. these are laptop cards and they arent very powerful. A 980 for laptop is about equal to a 960 for desktop.
