So I have decided to go with XOTICPC for my first Gaming laptop. I have been a console gamer for some time and am not impressed with where the new systems are going. I am trying to make this a really decent laptop that will play the latest games and last a long time. I have asked the people at XoticPC and wanted to get a second opinion on what system I should go with. Any feedback would be helpful. I will list the builds I am looking at below. I am trying to stay between $1500-$2000 but it seems that if I want an SSD i will need to spend a bit more. Thanks in advance!

I was under the impression that SLI would be more powerful? Is that a wrong assumption? I even looked up some reviews and they seemed to lean toward dual GPU in SLI...Hmm
Also I have looked at the pro versions and I think they will be a little out of my price range.

So I have talked to a few more people and some seem to love MSI and some seem to have major problems with them? I have heard the MSI boards have Voltage issues? Maybe this was a past issue and they have fixed it with the new models? This is troubling when I will be spending close to $2000 on a machine I want to last for a few years. I also keep getting mixed reviews on the single GPU vs. Dual GPU in SLI.

Yeah I think I will stick with a single GPU. Probably the NVIDIA GTX 880M 8GB. Anyone heard if the CyberpowerPC FANGBOOK EVO HX7-300 GAMING NOTEBOOK is a good one?

CyberpowerPC FANGBOOK EVO HX7-300 is based on the MSI GT70.

I own neither the MSI or the Sager. That being said, the Sager will give you more options if you want to expand it or upgrade it in the future. If not, you will still have a good system. The NP9377 (Clevo P377-A) is the third generation of this chassis. It's a proven design.

You will see that Clevo (which is the barebones maker for many resellers, including Sager) has 4 units in the top 10 gaming laptop spots. You don't get that honor if you are producing junk.

Number 1 and 3 are Alienware laptops.

I have gone through Xoticpc in the past, for my first Gaming Laptop (MSI GT660R). Prior I was desktop all the way. But, due to a new job, I wanted to be able to game whilst on travel. Xoticpc customer service was great. Though I only needed to deal with them once, it was a good experience.
My laptop, is also very good. The MSI GT660R was one of, if not the best on the market at the time, when I bought it. And, to this day, i have never had a single issue. I am still on it currently. I can still play almost any game with no issues. I am also looking to upgrade. Though I am contemplating whether or not to get a desktop, or another laptop. If I do decide to get another laptop, then I will definitely use Xoticpc again. And, since I never had a single problem with MSI, I would go for one of their models over any other.
I think you made a Fantastic choice with the MSI GT70 DominatorPro.
Welcome to PC Gaming, where gaming is at it's finest.
Have a fantastic time with your new toy! :)
