New Gaming PC for BF3 et al aussie PC build

OK this is my first time asking for advice, I've read the forums, I've trawled the net etc and I've come up with what I think is a pretty good system build. Now you guys can pull it apart and show me where I'm going wrong.

Here in WA Perth we dont' have the same options as US counterparts but it's not too bad.

Supplier: www.netplus.com.au (based in Perth)

System>
mainboard: Asus P8Z68-V-LX Z68 LGA1155 (intend to add 2nd card in a year or so, crossfire)
Ram: 8Gb DDR3 1333 Kingston Memory generic ram
Intel Core i5 2500K Unlocked (might overclock if the mood takes me)
CoolerMaster Hyper TX3 CPU 33 (and I'll need this if I do OC)
120Gb OCZ Vertex Plus + SSD (I want to boot quickly and have whatever my main game is on SSD)
2Tb WD Caviar Green WD20EARX (will put in a couple of drives, 4TBs all up, you can never have enough)
ATI AMD HD6970 2Gb (it's enough for 1080p gaming without breaking the bank)
Antec Nine Hundred TWO (I need something to put all the parts in, I'm not bothered by flashing lights)
LG BH10LS30 Blu RAY Writer ( of course you put a Blu Ray burner in)
Asus VE278Q ( and finally the monitor, I want big. I'll run dual displays with another 20inch for surfing)

What do you guys think? Give it to me straight. I'm happy to take any advice.

I don't see it either o.o but yeah if you're going to overclock try to stick with the 1600mhz+ range and get decent stock timings too.

Also can i recommend PcCaseGear, they have more competitive prices, a wider variety of components and they are Australian. I too am from Perth WA and am buying my PC from these guys. You can even ask them to order a special item for you and the chances are they will do it!

Anyway I recommend this PSU for your build if you don't already have one.

Haha, no prob. I just go for the ones with no comments as they usually need help the most. I'll copypasta my comments.

Very nice build! I really do like it.

However, I would change the MB. Not sure what's available, but an Asrock Z68 Gen3 would be the epitome of price/performance in my mind.

If they have the Hyper 212+ cooler, take it. Outperforms the TX3 for $5 USD more.

You might look into getting a Crucial M4 128GB drive. Not as fast, but much more stable.

And finally, the case. I would opt for one with better cable management, as the 902's management is laughable. HAF 922 is an similarily priced option.

What about PSU? I would go 750w, or 850w if you wanna run dual cards in the future.

yeah I'm buying from Netplus. I like to buy local. If I have any issues I can bring it straight back. The PC will cost about $2200, which isn't bad given the spec. I could get it a bit cheaper elsewhere but not the same piece of mind.

Have you considered Austin.net.au ? They too are based in Perth and have really good prices. There is even, which i'm sure you've heard about, PLE.com.au, they are based in Perth as well. Anyway, looks like a solid build.

Yeah I've considered both. I had to laugh at Austin' s$%t hot gaming PC on their site:

This week only $4999. Talk about overkill. Better off saving $2000 and buying again in 2 years.

The reason I like Netplus is the simplicity of their site. Easy to find. Austin need to take a look at their site.

PLE have not impressed in the past. I'm a sys admin so I end up fixing everyone's PC. PLE have been very poor in the past fixing issues under warranty. They even deleted a friends data on a drive without asking first.

How could I forget about MSY. They do have the best prices although PcCaseGear have someprices better. Also MSY is a little bit more difficult to use.

There are lots of great stores around Perth and shops that ship to Perth.
