Approximate Purchase Date: No later than 12/10/2015

Budget Range: $1,000 before rebates preferred, no more than $1,250.

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming, SQL/Microsoft Office, Networking

Are you buying a monitor: No

Parts to Upgrade: I have a Samsung 850 EVO-Series 250 GB SSD, need everything else.

Do you need to buy OS: No

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: Newegg, Amazon, others if recommended.

Location: TX, U.S.

Parts Preferences: Intel CPU is a must

Overclocking: Yes

SLI or Crossfire: Maybe, I would like the option because I may need 3+ monitors.

Your Monitor Resolution: Aiming for 4K gaming down the road.

Additional Comments: Most likely will upgrade to water cooling next year. System needs to have 3 monitors minimum for work.

And Most Importantly, Why Are You Upgrading: Own a Macbook Pro 2014 laptop, maxed out. But, work from home and I need more computational power than Parallels emulating Windows provides, also want to game.

Build so far is...

I am flexible on all components. I want to "future proof" within reason. I want to overclock the system. I selected the motherboard based on some of the Build/Vote contests but not sure if there is better for the price. Wireless built in is a plus because of where it is located.

Solution
No such thing as future proof. You can build for longevity, so I would recommend i7, for multithreaded capability. $1k is a bit on the low side, for what you are wanting. You are best off going more towards your max.
