[SOLVED] New gaming PC opinions and suggestions.

Hi,

So I'm looking to game at 1440p across the board with a new gaming PC.
My budget is currently £1500 including a monitor, but I have room to breathe with an option to put perhaps ~300 more in.
Max budget is therefore £1500 without, £1800 with a monitor, but there needs to be good reason to put any additional in.

Currently I'm looking for a 3600, RTX 2070 Super combo.

Any suggestions at this stage are appreciated. Brands particularly, I'm using PC PARTPICKER and dont mind spending an additional 5%-10% to get equally as good brands.

PSU will be 650w, but I'm tempted to go 750w for any future decisions.

Some qs I have.

1. Case suggestions, currently looking at the meshify C and S2.
2. 3600 sufficient for a 70 super.
3. AMD standard cooling sufficient?
4. RAM brand suggestions.
5. GPU brand suggestions.
6. Is overclocking worth the time and money.
7. Monitor suggestions.
8. Peripheral suggestions. I like sticking with a corsair theme if it fits within budget, and might consider RGBs if I feel like it.
9. Storage recommendations.
10. Any bargains or deals I should pickup.

This is my first self build. Previously I've had personal specifications from pcspecialist, but I want to go solo this time. So if you have any additional tips tricks or advice, go ahead. I've looked over YouTube and watched about 3hrs of self build content so far so I'm feeling okay doing this.

Edit: I forgot to mention, the b450 and x470 boards I've read need a bios update, any particular boards this effects or is it across the 'board. Oops.

Whatever you like there isn't much(if any) quality difference in that bracket. I like the C more and im a fan of phanteks .

So here's what I believe will be the final build.

I'm going to save a little longer to get something I really want

Carbide 275R white. I just love the minimalist design of this case.
3600x overclocked.
Not sure on mobo yet, still need help, but probs an x570 mid range mobo, dont need too many additional features tbh so any suggestions would be great, needs to be good for cooling, offer versatility for the future, doesn't need wifi as will be high speed ethernet.
3200mhz rgb corsair ram
Corsair h100 - not sure which variant is the rgb and latest version, aslong as it lights up white I'll take it.
PSU at 750w corsair ofc 80+ gold.
512gb nvme ssd for boot up and most popular games.
2-4tb hdd for everything else at 7200rpm.
Rtx 2070 super, not sure on brand yet, but something that's clean, simple, affordable and a premium brand.
Not sure on monitor
K55 corsair kb
Corsair glaive or harpoon mouse.
Corsair hs50 or void pro headset

So it's just gpu brand and mobo brand left. And model of h100 cooler.

Ant suggestions?

All looks good.

The cooler that comes with a 3600x is sufficient but maybe a little noisy. A corsair H100i will work, but it overkill.

GPU and mobo brand is up to personal preference.

From what i have seen with motherboard reviews, the Gigabyte X570 elite is a good motherboard.
Id go for the cheapest 2070 super with 2 fans.

Just a monitor left, any help? 1440p should do the trick, brands I know are AOC, Acer, asos, Benq, msi, Dell, samsung, anyone doing anything particularly good at the moment? I'm not looking to spend £600 on a monitor but maybe half that, depends what's value as I say.

1440p 144hz and curved. Its also VA so it will trade some responsiveness for good color accuracy and viewing angles.

Samsung is a very reputable brand.

I think about 25-30 inches is the sweet spot too, anything over just would end up in your peripheral surely? And give you a headache whilst you take 2 seconds looking from one corner to the next.
