Hi all,

I recently built my son a gaming pc for Christmas but, unfortunately, after 20 mins or so of gaming, the pc just instantly turns off.
It then takes either a few mins wait or flipping the kill switch/unplugging the pc for 10 secs or so, before it will turn back on.
This made me immediately think it was overheating in some way but I have had HWInfo logging pretty much everything and then replicated the issue, and the logs don't show any abnormalities at all as far as I can see?? Link to HWInfo log file (xlsx) below...

The pc spec is as follows (png):
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Ny-TDxR5HxVdQD9XlEBJswzuGLAAecyv/view?usp=sharing

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 2700X AM4 Processor with RGB Wraith Prism Cooler
GPU: MSI Radeon RX 590 ARMOR 8GB OC Graphics Card
MB: Asus PRIME B450-PLUS AM4 DDR4 ATX Motherboard
RAM: CORSAIR VENGEANCE LPX 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 3000 MHz
PSU: Be Quiet! Pure Power 11 CM 700w Power Supply

Tower has plenty of space inside with 4 system fans.

I'd be grateful for any pointers at all or if anybody can spot something in the log that I might have missed?

Hey there,

Can't make much out of the logs, and won't sift through a spreadsheet as there is too much data. A screen shot of the GUI would be better, showing voltages, speeds, max/min/avg values etc in a smaller, easier to read format.

Random shut downs like that typically point to PSU issues. Although the PSU you have is pretty good, it has some minor issues. It's possible it's failing. Can you swap it out with another to try? Maybe borrow one from a friend? Alternatively, you could bring to a PC shop and get them to test the system with another PSU.

I agree with Keith12 that it is almost certainly a failing PSU.
I had that problem with a failing PSU where you had to unplug it for a few seconds before it would switch on.
It was fine once I replaced it with a new one.
