New gaming pc

Hi i've been using an alienware x51 for the past 5 years and want to build my first pc. I have the case, power supply, fans, and im looking at the GeForce GTX 1060 as a budget graphics card I am using a Graphics Chipset AMD Radeon R9 200 Series so pretty much anything is an upgrade but im still wondering if this graphics card can suit my needs. My main question is if i could still use my CPU a Intel Core i7-4790 CPU @ 3.60GHz and if i need to get a new motherboard after 5 years. Thank you for anytime you spend answering this

The i7-4790 is still a capable gaming CPU and should work nicely with a GTX 1060. As far as using the same motherboard, I'm not sure if Alienware (Dell) motherboards are able to be moved to a different case.
