Hey guys,
I am trying to build a PC strictly for gaming. I don't want to spend too much money on it. Here is what I came up with.
Motherboard: Asus P5Q3 FSB1600, Memory Standard DDR3 1800(O.C.)/1600
Maximum Memory Supported 16GB
CPU: E8500 (overclock it to 3.6Ghz)
Case : Thermaltake Armor+MX VH8000BWS
Power supply: CORSAIR CMPSU-750TX 750W
RAM: Crucial Ballistix 4GB (4 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR3 1800 PC3 14400
Video Card: Visiontek HD4870 512MB
Here is what I have so far.
Now the critical questions:
I already bought the HD4870 about 7 months ago and I don't know if I should sell it and buy something else or just get another HD4870 and crossfire it. Things is, it is a 512MB model so even crossfire will be a 1GB total.
Do I need the DDR3 1800 for this set up?
Thanks a lot guys!
