New Gaming Rig ~$600

I've been stalking this forums for a really long time now and I've decided to build a new gaming rig to get rid of my old one. However, I will be dissecting out parts from my old rig which which would be just the dvd drive and my Kingston HyperX 3k 240Gb SSD and my 750 Gb Caviar Black

So I won't be planning on buying a new dvd drive, hdd, ssd, and I also won't be needing a new install CD as I'm planning on using the same copy I used on the old machine since I'm tearing that down.

My only request is to keep it around the $600 range with shipping and taxes.

It looks good, but... Why the z77 mobo for an i3-3220? Are you planning to get a 3570k in the future? You might want to think about getting an h77 or a b75 mobo instead. You can't overclock with that CPU, after all. The savings there could let you get a 2GB 7850 rather than the 1GB variety (not sure about that, honestly, but I would imagine you could if you saved $30 or more from the mobo price).

Otherwise, yeah. Looks nice. Get some additional tie wraps for cable management inside the case though (I have the same case. Very nice, but the zip-ties are a bit short for the width of all the cords I've tried to manage inside of it. You may need to find an extension for the PSU power cable to the mobo as well, actually. It was a tight reach for my system's cable, at least, but it managed .

Sorry forgot to mention a few things I really like the 300R for it's simple yet awesome design, and I also want the PSU to be modular, cable clutter must not be a problem in this new build.

I do plan on OC-ing in the later future as well as continue to upgrade.

if your overclocking, a Z77 or Z75 motherboard is needed. dj posted a nice Z75 in his first build suggestion . . also there really is no need for a 650 watt PSU for a single graphics card. that antec 520 is fine and will allow overclocking.

How you're gonna overclock with a i5-3470 or a b75 ?
You'll have to get a z77 mobo and an i5-3470.

Just stay with the i5-3470, but change the mobo for a h77 asrock pro 4 it's much better at almost the same price or a z75 mobo pro 3

You can change the case, but it also is a good one from corsair, the psu is modular and it's a quality psu it got a gold award in hardware secrets and comes with headphones for offer(in newegg if you want to), and a 660ti which is better than the 7870.
