hmmm. it depends, Do u plan to SLI?. cuz if u do, the i5 will do just fine and when u overclock it u get to i7 920 levels. If u really care about hyperthreading, then the i7 setup wud b for u.

i live in south africa thats why its more expensive, im mostly going to use it for gaming and a bit of programming, i nees it to last me about 5-6 years, i will be adding more ram etc as time goes by, i might put another gpu in it in the future in crossfire or sli, depending if i get the 5850 or gtx460, i also wanted to know if this psu would be able to power this pc GIGABYTE® ODIN 585W 24-Pin Power Supply, 4 Molex & 5 SATA Power Connectors, Intel LGA775 Ready & Approved, Includes Power Cable, i know il need a better 1 in the future in order to power 2 gpus, but i already have this 1 will it work?

Yes that power supply will work. 585 watts for ur build is good enuf and then some. And yes in the future for sli u will want a higher psu like around 650 -700.
