Hi Guys I'm wanting to build my own gaming rig as my current one is 100% obsolete and far too old. It's long overdue. I have put together a spec list and still trying to drop the price as low as possible. I need help in deciding if any parts I chose are an overkill and if there are any cheaper alternative parts. The prices are in South African rand so just ignore them or convert them if you would like

R2039 - motherboard (Gigabyte ga-Z87X-UD3H )
R2269 - processor (Intel i5 4670k)
R4999 - Graphics Card (Gigabyte GV-N770OC)

R1799 - memory (Kingston hyper-x Beast series, DDR3-2400, 2x8GB Modules = 16GB total)

R1140 - OS Hardrive (Seagate 600 series - 120GB Solid State Drive)
R646 - Other hardrive (seagate barracuda ST1000DM003 , 1Tb)
R1477 - Power Supply (Corsair HX750)
R419 - CPU Cooler (Coolermaster Hyper 412 Slim)
R1010 - Chassis (Corsair carbide series 500R Black+Black)

Total excluding vat: R15798
Total including vat: R18009.72

Solution
Personally I still dont see the worth in buying Haswell over Ivy, and from what I've read on most other forums is that "good" batches of CPUs are harder to come by then with sandy/ivy. Personal preference obviously, I'd also go with a 212 evo from CM as that is probably best budget/performance air cooler.
